Gavin Goodhand

Senior Portfolio Manager

Co-founder of Altius Asset Management

Gavin has over 30 years of experience in fixed income markets, and was most recently with QBE Asset Management’s fixed income team as senior portfolio manager.

Prior to this, he held roles at Aberdeen Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management as a senior portfolio manager, responsible for credit and interest rate portfolio management.

Gavin first worked with Bill Bovingdon at Treasury Corporation of Victoria, managing cash and fixed income investments, and has also worked with him at Aberdeen and Deutsche. His other experience includes dealer/portfolio manager of short-term investments at Axiom Funds Management.

Gavin holds a Master of Business in Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Chris Dickman

Senior Portfolio Manager

Co-founder of Altius Asset Management

Chris has over 30 years of experience in investments and financial services, with particular expertise in fixed interest.

Before co-founding Altius, Chris was with ANZ Bank as director of the fund’s management and public sector business.

Prior to this, he worked as director, fixed income at Credit Suisse Australia and head of Australian institutional fixed income and money markets at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He has also been a fixed income dealer at Deutsche Bank Australia, and dealer and portfolio manager at National Australia Funds Management. He has particular experience in new issues in debt capital markets, and debt and derivatives sales.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University in Victoria, is accredited by the Australian Financial Markets Association and is a member of the Institute of Company Directors.

Tim Kelly

Fixed Income Portfolio Manger

Tim has held a variety of roles since joining Australian Ethical, originally joining the Funds Administration team in 2002 before migrating across to the Investment team in 2003 in an operational role.

Tim holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from Kaplan, and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University. 

Vincent Tang

Portfolio Manager

Vincent joined the Altius team in May 2019 as senior portfolio analyst. Vincent is responsible for the management of Altius cash and short-term debt portfolios, as well as quantitative research and modelling.

Vincent has over 10 years of experience across actuarial, asset allocation and fixed income portfolio management. Vincent’s fixed interest experience includes global rates, FX and credit portfolios.

Before joining Altius, Vincent was senior portfolio analyst at AMP Capital.

Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) from Macquarie University and is a CFA charterholder.

Kirsten Lee

Head of Credit Research

Kirsten Lee joins the Altius team as a credit analyst.

Prior to joining Altius in 2017, Kirsten worked with Moody’s Investors Service for over 7 years as a credit analyst covering investment grade and high yield companies in the corporate finance group, across a range of sectors. Kirsten also has a further 5 years of experience in corporate legal and tax consulting with KPMG and legal firms.

Kirsten holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Sydney and is a chartered accountant.

Linh Nguyen

Credit Analyst

Linh is an experienced Credit Analyst with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry. Strong finance professional with a Bachelor Degree in Business focused in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University. Linh joined Altius Asset Management in 2023.
